Copper Braid, Copper Tape and Foil Screened Control Cable
Shielded Control Cable (KVVP / KYJVP)
Published multi-core and multi-pair control-cable structures with braid, tape or foil screens
This factory supply page covers the published KVVP, KVVP2, KVVRP and KYJVP family structures with copper-wire braid, copper tape or aluminium-foil screen options. The exact voltage, conductor, insulation, screen, armour, sheath, core or pair count, section and governing standard are confirmed against the RFQ.
What is Shielded Control Cable (KVVP / KYJVP)?
This page is the commercial supply page for the published shielded control-cable structures. KVVP and KYJVP use a copper-wire braided overall screen; KVVP2 and KYJVP2 use a copper-tape overall screen. The listed range also includes individually screened and screened-armoured structures.
Screen and armour are separate construction requirements. State the exact model or layer sequence in the RFQ, together with voltage, conductor class, insulation, core or pair count, section, sheath and governing standard.

Frequently asked questions about Shielded Control Cable (KVVP / KYJVP)
Q.What is the difference between KVVP and KVVP2?
Both are PVC insulated shielded control cable. KVVP has a copper wire braided overall screen; KVVP2 has a copper tape overall screen. Either can be made with an aluminium foil screen on each pair underneath.
Q.Is a shielded control cable the same as an armoured control cable?
No. The screen is a copper braid, copper tape or foil layer that handles electromagnetic interference. Armour is steel tape or steel wire that handles mechanical damage. A cable can have one, the other or both; KVVRP32 and KVVP2-32, for example, have a screen and steel wire armour.
Q.When do I need a shielded control cable instead of standard KVV?
When control or signal circuits run near power cable, drives, contactors or other interference sources, or when the project specification calls for screened cable. If neither applies, standard KVV is the simpler choice.
Q.Can you screen each pair individually?
Yes. The shielded range can be made with an aluminium foil screen on each pair under the overall screen, in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 16, 19 or 24 pairs of 0.2–2.5 mm².
Q.Is a flexible shielded version available?
Yes. KVVRP and KYJVRP use flexible Class 5 copper with a copper wire braided screen. The minimum bending radius for shielded flexible control cable is not less than 6D. Class 5 improves flexibility for routing and termination; continuous-flex or drag-chain duty requires a separately specified cable construction.
Q.Which certificates or test reports can you provide for shielded control cable?
At the moment there is no published certificate or test report that matches a specific model in this shielded control range, and we do not apply our CB, CCC or medium-voltage reports to it. Routine factory tests, and any third-party test or inspection your project needs, are agreed per model and order at the quotation stage, so tell us the standard and inspection body when you ask for a quote.
Q.Which governing standard applies to a shielded-control order?
State the governing standard in the RFQ. The available factory source lists the model structures and construction options but does not support assigning one blanket IEC, EN, BS, UL or CSA standard to every shielded-control model.
