PVC Insulated Flexible Control Cable
Flexible Control Cable (KVVR)
Published Class 5 flexible control-cable model structures
The published KVVR family uses a Class 5 copper conductor. KVVRP and KVVRP2 add the listed screen structures, while KVVR22 and KVVR32 add steel armour. Continuous-flex or drag-chain duty is not claimed by this page and must be specified separately in the RFQ.
What is Flexible Control Cable (KVVR)?
This page is the commercial supply page for Class 5 flexible control-cable models. KVVR is the unscreened PVC-insulated build, KVVRP and KVVRP2 add braid or tape screening, and KVVR22 / KVVR32 add steel armour. KYJVR is the corresponding XLPE-insulated family.
Flexibility is a conductor construction, not proof of a continuous-flex duty rating. State the routing or movement requirement, screen, armour, sheath, core count and section in the RFQ so the factory can confirm whether the published KVVR family fits the order or a separately specified high-flex construction is needed.
Key features
- Published Class 5 flexible copper conductor
- Published PVC-insulated and XLPE-insulated model structures
- Published copper-braid, copper-tape and aluminium-foil screen options
- Published steel-tape and steel-wire armour options
- Published PVC, PE and LSZH outer-sheath options
- Governing standard and movement duty confirmed against the RFQ
Typical applications
- Cable schedules specifying the KVVR or KYJVR flexible-conductor family
- RFQs specifying KVVRP or KVVRP2 screened flexible models
- RFQs specifying KVVR22 or KVVR32 armoured flexible models
- Orders that define the movement duty separately from the model code

Frequently asked questions about Flexible Control Cable (KVVR)
Q.What makes KVVR different from standard KVV cable?
KVVR uses the published Class 5 flexible-conductor construction. Standard KVV uses a fixed conductor class. State the conductor class and exact model in the RFQ rather than using the two names interchangeably.
Q.Does KVVR automatically mean continuous-flex or drag-chain cable?
No. Class 5 identifies conductor flexibility, not a tested flex-cycle duty. State the equipment movement, bend radius and flex-cycle requirement so the factory can confirm the required construction instead of assuming standard KVVR is suitable.
Q.Is a shielded version available?
The published range includes KVVRP with a copper-wire braided screen and KVVRP2 with a copper-tape screen. State whether individual pair screening is also required.
Q.Which documents should I specify for a KVVR order?
Name the governing product standard, routine-test records and any third-party inspection in the RFQ. The factory confirms documents for the exact model and order; this page does not claim blanket CB, CCC or third-party certification for the flexible-control range.
