PVC Insulated PVC Sheathed Control Cable
PVC Control Cable (KVV)
Multi-core PVC control cable for industrial automation, switchgear, and instrumentation circuits
KVV series PVC insulated control cable is designed for transmitting control signals, instrumentation data, and low-power circuits in industrial plants, power stations, and automation systems. Rated 450/750V, available in 2 to 61 cores with copper conductors from 0.75mm² to 10mm². Suitable for fixed installation on cable trays, in ducts, or indoors where mechanical protection is not critical.
What is PVC Control Cable (KVV)?
This parent page covers the factory's PVC-insulated KVV control-cable family. KVV is the fixed, unshielded construction; KVVP adds a copper-wire braided shield, KVV22 uses steel-tape armour, KVV32 uses steel-wire armour, and KVVR uses a Class 5 flexible conductor. These suffixes are not interchangeable, so the required construction must be stated in the enquiry.
Use the linked product pages when the purchase specification is specifically for shielded, armoured or flexible control cable. This page remains the commercial supply page for the broad KVV / PVC control-cable range; cable sizing, voltage-drop and installation design remain project-engineering decisions.

Frequently asked questions about PVC Control Cable (KVV)
Q.What is the difference between KVV and KVVP cable?
KVV is unshielded PVC control cable. KVVP adds a braided copper wire screen (shield) over the cores, providing electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection. Use KVVP when control signals run alongside power cables or in electrically noisy environments.
Q.What core counts are available?
We manufacture KVV control cable from 2 cores up to 61 cores. Standard options: 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 19, 24, 27, 30, 37, 44, 48, and 61 cores. Custom core counts available on request.
Q.Can control cable be used for power circuits?
Control cable is rated 450/750V and designed for control signals and low-power circuits (typically up to 10mm²). For power distribution above 1kV or larger conductor sizes, use dedicated power cable (YJV/VV series).
Q.What is the maximum operating temperature?
PVC insulated control cable operates continuously at 70°C. For higher temperature environments, XLPE insulated control cable is available with 90°C rating.
Q.Do you provide armoured control cable?
Yes. KVV22 (steel tape armour) and KVV32 (steel wire armour) are available for direct burial or installations requiring mechanical protection. See our Armoured Control Cable product page.
